Mission Creek Festival brings together music, literature, food, and art for a week-long series of events in downtown Iowa City, Iowa. Taking place in various venues and spaces day and night, the fest turns this midwestern college town into a destination while maintaining an intimate and communal experience. Listen to a poet at a local shop, linger to hear a singer-songwriter on the sidewalk, hit up the comedy show at the theatre followed by a thoughtfully curated and prepared dinner, then end your night in a bar at a punk show. I designed the initial identity in 2012 and updated various materials each year—posters, passes, programs, and more—through 2017.
